Participating Mortgages

'profit-sharing mortgage'. This may apply to residential or commercial first or second mortgage financing.

The typical situation is the developer or builder who has a quality project but does not have sufficient cash equity to be able to obtain conventional mortgage financing.

These are relatively unusual financing situations, but the right projects present good economic opportunities for both borrower and lender.
