    Position Summary

    Fisgard is expanding our Business Development / Broker Relations Team!  We are looking for an experienced, motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who is excited to join our successful sales team.  The Western Canada Broker Relations Manager will be responsible for originating residential mortgages through the mortgage broker channel throughout in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.  You will join a high-performance sales team with the support of experienced underwriters and administration.

    Key Responsibilities in this role:
    • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial mortgage referral relationships with mortgage brokers in Western Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan)
    • Provide unparalleled sales support, product training to all of your business partners
    • Take ownership of your territory’s volume objectives and ‘make it happen’ while maintaining both deal quality and underwriting efficiency standards
    • Liaise with your colleagues in underwriting in resolving issues with business partners
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with mortgage brokers, lender referral partners and the mortgage industry community
    • Enhance Fisgard’s brand and promote our value proposition as an alternative non-bank (private) lender
    • Maintain a strong ‘sales’ funnel/list of existing and prospective mortgage brokers
    • Prepare and present regular reporting to Fisgard’s SVP Broker Relations on all marketing efforts and volumes
    • Network at mortgage industry events
    • Develop and maintain appropriate corporate sponsorship opportunities
    • Provincial travel will be regularly required, you must be able to travel internationally
    • Must maintain adequate vaccination for Canadian and International travel
    Your Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes:
    • A passionate sales professional with a proven growth track record and rockstar attitude
    • A self-motivated entrepreneurial spirit who can work independently
    • Respects and can manage a budget
    • Extensive expertise in relationship management with high level of persuasion and negotiation skills
    • Excellent Clear communication skills and the ability to simplify processes
    • British Columbia Mortgage Broker license or equivalent Ontario Mortgage Agent license. Must be obtained within 6 months of employment
    • Post-secondary degree in business, marketing and/or sufficient years of mortgage lending and marketing experience at the management level to offset a degree
    • Minimum 5 years of business development / broker relations experience
    • Marketing and social media experience is an asset
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Service oriented
    • Vaccination requirement

    Position Summary

    Fisgard Asset Management Corporation is looking for an innovative, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Mortgage Administrator to join our expanding alternate lending team. This person loves to pay attention to details, is super organized, and takes satisfaction in making sure boxes are checked, processes are followed, and things are done consistently and correctly.

    As a Mortgage Administrator, you’ll collaborate with and support a dynamic group of Mortgage Investment Specialists in all aspects of the residential and commercial lending process. This requires strong organizational skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and completing them in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities in this role:
    • Process as well as post mortgage transactions such as payments, mortgage advances, construction draws, property tax payments and mortgage discharges etc.
    • Communicate with external partners, brokers and lawyers
    • Participate, support and add value to mortgage department processes and procedures
    • Prepare, administer, and review mortgage documentation
    • Manage portfolio files to ensure all files are correctly administered
    • Administer and perform follow-up associated through-out the mortgage life-cycle processes
    • Perform any other duties as assigned
    Your Qualifications:
    • 3+ years relevant experience in the mortgage, real estate or legal environment
    • Mortgage administration knowledge (sub mortgage broker license is an asset)
    • Experience with residential and commercial lending is an asset
    • Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate in a professional, mature, and courteous manner
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Proficiency with technology, Windows, Office 365 and other Microsoft applications
    • Ability to handle multiple assignments without sacrificing quality or attention to detail
    • Equally comfortable working independently or in a team
